I know, I know, summer is almost over. But “lucky” for us it’s still 90 degrees in Chicago. Since moving into our new apartment, my husband and I have taken every opportunity to grill out on our rooftop. I know my family endures endless snapchats of our grilling creations, bottles of wine drank and amazing views of Lake Michigan, so I was more than excited to host them a few weeks back, and was even more thrilled to throw “a family dinner party.”
I became OBSESSED with Crate & Barrel’s summer decor line last summer (most pieces were even brought back this year!) and my sisters surprised me with some most of the items during one of my bridal showers. Needless to say, I was waiting on a perfect occasion to bring out these bad boys.
I’m dreaming for the day that we will have a large patio and maybe even some green space of our own, so my Pinterest board will have to do for now. Here are some of my favorite ideas/inspirations for a Summer Dinner Party:
