Whether I’m boarding a one hour flight back to Nebraska or about to embark on a 14 hour flight, I always find myself wearing some type of slip-on shoe. The hassle of taking off and putting on my shoes in security is dreaded, and to be honest, as soon as the wheels of the plane lift up, I’m slipping off my shoes and putting on my thickest pair of socks.
Packing a carry-on is like an equation for me, and a good slip-on has become a key component. The best part is, no matter where I am traveling, I can incorporate the right shoe into my daily outfit rotation. Warm location? You’ve find me in a backless loafer or ballet flat. Colder weather? I’ll be rocking a pair of tennis shoes. You might even find yourself wearing these shoes even after you have left the airport!
