You asked, I answered.
I’ve had quite of few people reach out to me about flight deals and upcoming travel. Love it, keep the messages coming. I’m the weirdo searching flight deals every hour of the day. I compiled a small list of places that are currently on my watch list, as well as some other steals that I couldn’t pass up. I would love to hear as much feedback as possible, especially if you book some travel from this post 🙂
Just to be clear, most of my flight searches will be based out of Chicago, with the occasional SFO or EWR flight (because they are cheap flight hop for me). I also figured all the Midwest folks that follow along can hop a flight to Chicago as well!
** Flight prices will most likely be inflated today and over the weekend, but prices will drop again on Monday/Tuesday.
Iceland
WowAir is doing some ridiculously cheap flights out of BOS, EWR, SFO & ORD this spring. The Northern Lights are visible until April, so you still have plenty of time to book a full trip.
Note: WowAir is somewhat of a budget airline. You will have to pay for carry-ons (one FREE backpack) and seat upgrades. But at $200 RT, I can afford some extra fees.
Cancun
This just popped up today in my inbox, and will definitely qualify as a “last minute trip,” RT tickets are around $250 price tag for the month of February on United and Delta. Perk: You’ll be beating the Spring Break crowd. It’s also a lull time for the resorts and hotels, so there’s some deals to be found.
San Francisco & Los Angeles
Just took this trip last weekend. Flight deals can be found on United, American & Alaskan (interested to try them since the Virgin Airlines merge) and you’re looking at under $200 RT. More in the $120-$140 range actually. These are non-stop flights straight into SFO.
Thailand
This flight is so insanely cheap right now. Select a time frame that works for you when searching and you find endless options in the $500-600 range on top-of-the-line airlines like ANA & Emirates. The warm weather & crowdless beaches sound real good right about now.
Weekend Trips
Boston
It’s cold and no one wants to go. Except it’s actually warmer than Chicago and hotels are cheap and there’s oysters. RT tickets are less than $100 and are available over the weekends. United has a few deals, but JetBlue has the most options.
Denver
If you are willing to go on a budget airline, Frontier & Spirit have sub $100 RT tickets to Denver. The flight is short and you’ll be able to enjoy the cold weather with a view of the mountains.
Washington D.C.
Somehow I missed the middle school trip where everyone goes to D.C., so it’s been on my bucket list since a young age. There are RT tickets for $200 through April. Might actually have to book a ticket on this one.
