I am back! Well actually, I am currently 35,000 feet in the air, just hours from Chicago. I cannot believe this trip has already come to an end. Talk about the most amazing trip, with the most amazing people (my family, of course).
In case you need some catching up, my family (parents, sisters, husband and brother in law) took a week long trip to Rome. Since we had such a large group, we decided it would be more fun to rent an entire apartment, rather than staying in individual hotel rooms. And boy, were we right.
I have used rental sites numerous times, including previous trips to Europe, spring break vacations, as well as short weekend get-a-ways. This particular apartment was found on AirBnb (but it is also listed on VRBO and HomeAway). Note: If traveling to Europe in the summer, book your rentals ASAP. The best locations and nicest apartments go quickly!
Our apartment was located right outside of Piazza Popolo, in the city center of Rome. We wanted a less touristy area (nearly impossible in Rome). 4-5 bedrooms, and a large enough wine fridge kitchen to fit our needs.
I was absolutely obsessed with the furniture and décor of the apartment. Chesterfield couches, humongous gold mirrors, incredible artwork. It took all the willpower not to steal some of the paintings off the wall. The other amazing attribute of our apartment: 4 bathrooms!! Talk about a dream come true for this family.

If you are interesting in book this apartment, you can find it here. They also have a few other listings in Rome that look equally wonderful.
