Welcome to my new outlet — The Casual Luxury. I am assuming if you’re reading this, you’re probably my mom or one of my many friends that encouraged me to put all my thoughts in one place. Here I go.
As explained in my “About Me” section, I believe Casual Luxury is the perfect term used to describe the little luxuries that can be added into life. If you ask my husband, I like to include as many Casual Luxuries into my life as possible. In all seriousness, Casual Luxuries are those little (or big) “splurges” you make for yourself. I truly believe, we all could start adding a few more to our life.
To bring this whole Casual Luxury full circle, I wanted to share some of my favorites:
- A
bottleglass of Veuve Cliquot - Cappuccino in Bed
- Soul-Cycle
- A bouquet of flowers from Whole Foods
- Conde Nast Traveler
- Posting up in a hotel lobby bar with a dirty martini
- Spa day at the Four Seasons (hands down my favorite)
- A bottle of wine and Scandal
- Dinner Parties (we need more of these)
- Staycations
- Upgrades (Economy Plus is all I am asking for)
What are some of your favorite “Casual Luxuries”?
Madeline says
All time Casual Luxury favorite:
The leg massage during a pedicure after leg day at the gym
Other ideal casual luxuries:
– perfect temperature Flat White Latte
– window seat for long flights (an unpopular opinion)
– short hikes with expansive views
– Grape Juice and Netflix
– walks to Arbor Lodge with a certain Erin DuBois
– smoothie breaks
Guess it’s time to get to it. Cheers~
