I apologize for being MIA, but the last week has been absolutely crazy. From finding a new apartment (talk about draining, but in love with the new place) to having our Global Entry interviews (got approved!), I feel like we have been running around the city non-stop.
Since today was the first “slower” day, I decided that I would rel
ax a bit tonight with a movie. While flipping through Netflix and Amazon, I begin to notice that most of my “go-to’s” had a common theme: Travel.
So when it comes time for your next “Wine & Movie Night,” here are the movies that have inspired me to travel. Spoiler Alert: Major Chick Flicks.
Roman Holiday: Audrey Hepburn and Rome. Need I say more.
In Bruges: Bruges is a fairy tale town. One of the most serene places I’ve ever visited. I love looking at the scenery while watching the movie.
Midnight in Paris: If you love history and Paris, this movie is for you. I absolutely love how he goes back in time to meet some of the greatest writers and artists of all time. Makes me want to live in a different time.
Holiday in the Sun (or When in Rome): This movie is the sole reason I want to visit Atlantis. And I still want to be an Olsen twin (Flashback: I bought an entire “Mary Kate and Ashley” outfit when they had their line of clothes in the 90’s). “When in Rome” comes in close second.
Eat, Pray, Love: Travel the world “to find yourself.” Something that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The Lizzie McGuire Movie: I think I should start tallying how many times I reference this movie on the blog. I have “What Dreams are Made of” memorized and still want to make Lizzie & Gordo a thing.
What movie inspired you to travel? Or makes you wanderlust?
