We moved a little over three months ago (where has time gone?!?), and are still putting the finishing touches on the place. When it came time, I looked to antique stores, flea markets and estate sales to furnish the space.
Chest holds all our blankets and board games.
Most of our pictures have been collected through travel, then add a vintage frame!
Although these options may not be as convenient as a Target or Wayfair, I love a good one-of-a-kind piece. I do most of my shopping while in Nebraska. It’s a gold mine. I can find pieces that would be in the $500-$1000 range in Chicago, for less than $100 in Nebraska. The Old Market in Nebraska is full of antique stores and Omaha/Lincoln Craigslist is full of countless listings.

MY FAVORITE FIND:
While we would love to find all our “large” furniture items at these stores, we find the best luck with the smaller touches. Some of my favorite things to pick up are wooden picture frames (they can be painted any color), vases, anything sterling silver, and blue/white pieces.
Looking to add a few new pieces/touches to your place, here are some of my favorite go-to’s:
Nebraska
Midwest Pickers
Imaginarium
Among Other Things
Online
EBTH (Everything But the House)
Craigslist
eBay
Inspiration
South Loop Loft
Ralph Lauren Home
The Savoy Flea
