I consider Instagram a complete travel resource. Through my favorite travel Instagram accounts, I am able to plan the majority of my trip. Throughout the years, I have found a few individuals that have inspired my travel and see the world I want to see.
Instagram Travel Tip #1: Look up Instagram Locations
As crazy as it seems, I consider Instagram the “unfiltered” view of travel. When looking at a hotel website/attraction/restaurant website, all pictures are done professionally. Instagram allows you to see the location through a travelers eyes. I find this particularly useful when researching hotels, as well as finding some off the beaten path excursions in various cities.
Instagram Travel Tip #2: Tag the Company.
If you have been following me on Instagram (read: follow me on Instagram), you will notice that I tag almost any business that I come in contact with. Why? They genuinely appreciate it. I have received direct messages and been featured on social media because of a tagged post. If you are enjoying an experience, why not tag them?
