If you wander the streets of Wicker Park (or are a Chicago local), you’ve most likely been awaiting the opening of The Robey. I was thrilled to see that it had recently opened — and even more thrilled to see that it is a member of the Design Hotels (a SPG brand).
We had an a free Sunday this last weekend, and needed a brunch spot to meet with a few friends to plan our next big adventure. We booked reservations (definitely recommend — it was packed) and off we went. Before brunch, I was able to wander the hotel a bit and snap a few shots, but will be heading back soon for a full experience. The Robey is top of our list for a staycations.
Most impressive are the food options offered at The Robey. Cafe Robey is located on the street level and is a quaint restaurant that serves the classic brunch staples with a French twist. Up & Up is the hotel bar located on the 13th floor and has incredible views of the city, and they boast that they are always “down for a nightcap.” Most excitingly — Cabana, which is set to open this Spring, is located on the 6th floor and hosts a rooftop pool — you’ll find me there this summer for sure!
I’ve successfully found my new favorite Wicker Park hangout. Next on the list? Publican Anker.
