If you live in Chicago, I think you’d agree that there is a new restaurant/bar/venue opening every minute (maybe a little exaggerated), but you get the idea. It’s both a blessing and a curse. I have an on-going list on my phone for all the places I want to try, and I swear more places get added then crossed off.
I was really eager to check out Park & Field (especially with this 60 degree weather), so we made the trip out to Logan Square. Pulling up to the bar, it looks like a massive backyard party. People are roasting s’mores, bocce courts are in action, and an old camper is selling drinks. The vibe and décor is very Chicago Athletic Club, and I don’t think I could be more obsessed.
We snagged a seat outside, ordered a few drinks and their BBQ Chicken Nuggets (YUM) and spent a few hours playing with all the dogs people watching and enjoying the perfect weather. I could see myself spending an entire afternoon/evening here.
My husband described it best: “We’re not cool enough to be here.”
