I’ve received a lot of feedback from you guys lately, and first off, I have to say THANK YOU! I had multiple people ask for more Chicago based”guides/advice. So here we go!
One of my favorite parts of Chicago is the endless brunch opportunities. After a long week, there is nothing better than making brunch reservations with girlfriends, the family, etc. to kick start the weekend. I have in NO WAY ate my way across the Chicago Brunch scene, but here are some of my go-to for various occasions:
Your next brunch? Nosh & Booze
Seriously the best thing to happen to the Chicago brunch scene. Now the bad news… it’s a pop restaurant that closes in December. GO NOW!! Friend Chicken Benedict. Fried Pickles. Pimento Burger. Get one of each.
Want a classic, old school experience? Ralph Lauren Cafe
This is my husband and mine’s favorite spot. We pick an outdoor spot if available, or the prime spot in front of the indoor fireplace. White tablecloths, attentive servers, and the luxe of Ralph Lauren. I recommend a salad and or their burger.
The family is in town? Beatrix
This is my recommendation for anyone visiting Chicago. Beatrix is a staple in my Chicago life, and I always know they will not disappoint. My order? Chilaquiles bar and a Blueberry Basil Smash (fresh blueberry juice) with a splash of vodka.
With the girlfriends? Three Arts Cafe
A cafe in the middle of Restoration Hardware. The menu is as well crafted as the interior. Even if you are unable to snag a spot for brunch (very difficult), get a cappuccino from their coffee bar and explore the five floors of divine interior magic.
People Watching? Tavern on Rush
Located in the heart of Gold Coast, Tavern is perfect for people watching, Lamborghini spotting, or enjoying a boozy afternoon with all friends.
Had too many last night? Hub 51
Breakfast Nachos. That is all I need to say. They are my hangover cure. #noshame I’ve even ordered them on UberEats.
Need a Bloody Mary? Chicago Q
They have the largest Bloody Mary bar that I have seen in Chicago. The bar is always full stocked, fresh ingredients, and pair amazingly with the BBQ.
Have a diverse group of eaters? Little Goat Diner
The depth of their menu is insane. How they manage to make everything delicious, even crazier. If you have a group with a diverse palette, this should hit the spot for everyone. Trust me. I brought my family and we each managed to find a favorite!
Didn’t make reservations? Hit the West Loop.
If a last minute brunch pops up (the best case scenario), I hit up Randolph street. The street is lined with the top notch restaurants, all with amazing menus. Each restaurant a little different than the next. Walk the row, put your name in for a few places, and you’ll be brunching before you know it.
