I just returned from a whirlwind weekend in New York City. With a crazy schedule and reservations throughout Manhattan, all I wanted in a hotel was a comfy bed and impeccable service. Luckily for me, that’s what the Ritz Carlton does best.
Located directly across the street from Central Park, the Ritz-Carlton gives you the perfect excuse to take a walk through the park every morning. Walking into the Ritz embodies the history and New York flair: dark wood, draped velvet, and incredible chandeliers. Someone is there to greet you at every corner, and it doesn’t take long to start to feel at home.
As I’ve said before, what sets one luxury hotel apart from another, is their attention to detail. And I’m starting to believe that the Ritz-Carlton pays closest attention to just that.
Here are a few “Moments of Truth”** that occurred during our stay:
Throughout our stay, my husband was told “Happy Birthday” from the hotel staff.
We asked for a taxi to get to our dinner reservation. Instead of calling a taxi, they pulled the house car around and sent us on our way, without even a request and on their dime.
Room Delivery. Can every other hotel take note?? Everything I needed was in our room within 10 minutes. From band-aids (accident prone), to champagne flutes, to water bottles.
My husband needed a last minute shoe shine. The shoes were picked up, polished and back in our room before we even returned.
Most impressed: My lovely husband forgot his clothes in the closet of our room. The Ritz-Carlton graciously dry-cleaned them all and express shipped them to him, for free!
Even with the hundreds of hotels in NYC, I cannot wait to stay with them again (hopefully real soon)!
