This is the closest I will ever be to Serena Van Der Woodsen (for all my Gossip Girl fans). As mentioned in my previous post, my husband and I stayed at the St. Regis during our spontaneous getaway to New York.
As always, the decor and interior of the hotel was phenomenal. It exactly how I imagine the inside of the mansions on the Upper East Side to look. And the people — absolutely fabulous. Everyone was dressed to the nines at all times of the day. Serious outfit envy. And all the black.
Although the interior was one of my favorite about St. Regis‘ thus far, the service was not up to par. Breakfast was delivered while we were away, room service food was never delivered (but we were charged), and the rooms flips were not smooth. If it wasn’t for our AMAZING concierge, I would have been a little disappointed. Shout out to McKinley!
One very cool fact about the St. Regis New York: The original Bloody Mary was created here. Truth be told, I am not the biggest Bloody Mary fan, my husband is usually the taste tester. However, I figured I should probably taste the original, and I may have been dealing with a few drinks from the night before (the downside of the city that never sleeps), so I ordered one. BEST BLOODY I’VE HAD. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the half of glass of vodka in it.
I also encourage everyone EVERYONE to sign up for the loyalty program for the hotel chain of their choice. We have received some many perks because of our status for SPG. While at the St. Regis NYC, we received free breakfast in our room every morning. Talk about Eloise treatment!
You have probably noticed a theme with hotels…I’ve decided that I want to attempt to stay at every St. Regis (kind of like a bucket list), so let’s start booking the flights!
Also, I apologize for the absence! My husband and I have been hosting in Chicago almost every weekend or in a plane, so I am just now getting my life pulled together again. Thank you for all still following along!
