I woke up in a new Ferrari. (I may or may not be jamming to this song right now in the airport, while writing this). Seriously though, we were able to drive Ferraris. In the Tuscan countryside. Sayyy wwhhaattt.
While planning the trip, I knew that we wanted to do something fun for my brother in laws birthday. He actually races car for a hobby — so cool! I think it was actually him that recommended looking into Ferrari experiences.
We drove out to Tuscan countryside, about 30 minutes outside of Siena (a little more than 2 hours outside of Rome) to a race track. When we arrived we were greeted with two different cars, the California and the 458 Italia. Our instructor is actually an instructor at the Ferrari school (it’s a thing) and does this as a freelancer.
After a quick introduction about the car, I found myself being buckled into the drivers seat. (I may have withheld the fact that I don’t have a car in Chicago). We were able to do 8 laps around the course. It was insane! The instructor was actually yelling at me to take my foot OFF the brake and to go faster. Skip the idea of purchasing a home, I am going the Ferrari route 😉
I could not recommend this more. I am not going to lie, it is definitely a splurge, but 100 percent worth it for a lifetime experience. Especially if you have a guy or two in the group that need a break from all spontaneous shopping trips.
Have you ever drove a Ferrari?
