It’s finally starting to feel like fall in Chicago and the Huskers won, so it was a top notch weekend! As I mentioned, here are some more highlights of where we ate in Pittsburgh..
Shadyside/East Liberty
Noodlehead: Yum. Yum. Yum. This restaurant was my husband’s favorite from the weekend. It is a Thai styled restaurant, BYOB, and cash only. Their menu is super simple, offering a few appetizers (the steamed buns were AH-MAZING) and numerous noodle options. I went with the Pad Thai, and was some of the best since Thailand. Another feature: you are able to choose your spice level!
The Livermore: Such a fun drink menu with an Italian theme. I had the Sloe Royale. It was a gin and prosecco cocktail that had a hint of black licorice. DE-LIC-IOUS. I would recommend coming here after dinner. They do have food, but it is a very light menu. They also pay all employees a salary — so absolutely NO tipping!
Whitfields: This restaurant is located in the Ace Hotel. Although it was recommended to us for dinner, my husband and I decided to make a reservation for breakfast after a long night out (too many good bars, not enough time). It was a classic menu, but so good. I would 100 percent recommend it, and I look forward to trying it out for dinner in the future.
The Ace Hotel Bar: We stumbled came back to the bar at the Ace Hotel, and it was FULL of people. We decided to have a night cap and it was such a great place to hangout. I would definitely recommend it for a chill place with friends. The bartenders were so entertaining and it was a perfect way to end the night.
Southside
Hofbrauhaus: I know, I know it’s a chain. My husband and I had some time to kill, it was beautiful outside and they have a huggge patio, so we figured why not? We actually ate at Hofbrauhaus in Munich earlier this year. It’s a fun place to go with a huge group, especially at night.
